Gurnee School District 56 invites families and community members to celebrate Women’s History Month at the School Maker Faire, a hands-on event for children and adults of all ages.
The School Maker Faire will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at a new location, River Trail School, located at 333 O’Plaine Road in Gurnee, Illinois.
This free, interactive event highlights creativity, innovation, and learning through a variety of maker-inspired activities. Attendees can enjoy:
Make and Take activities offering free or low-cost hands-on projects
Show and Tell displays featuring creative student work
Build and Play opportunities with tools and toys
Community displays from local makers
Giveaways and free food
The Maker Faire celebrates the idea that everyone is a maker and encourages participants to explore, create, and learn together in a welcoming environment.
