Notice of a Public Hearing

Under the Open Meetings Act

Notice is hereby given that the School Board of Gurnee School District #56, Lake County, Illinois, shall hold its first public hearing on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., prior to the regular Board meeting, at the School District’s Administration Offices located at 3706 Florida Avenue, Gurnee, Illinois, 60031, to take testimony from educators and parents regarding the proposal to hold school on March 4, 2024 (Casimir Polaski Day).

Notice is also hereby given that the School Board of Gurnee School District #56, Lake County, Illinois, shall hold its second public hearing on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, regarding the budget for said school district for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, to be held immediately after the holiday waiver.
