Mrs. William - 7th Grade Social Studies
This year will be my 12th year in education, but my first year at Viking Middle School.
I have worked with students as young as preschool and as old as college; middle schoolers are my favorite.
My husband and I have one son who is a freshman at Warren.
I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education with a middle school endorsement from Elmhurst University and just recently graduated with my master's degree from Kansas State University.
In my free time I like to spend time with family and travel. I hope to some day make it to all 50 states.
E-learning
In the event of an e-learning day students should visit their social studies Google classroom to find the assignments for the day.
The assignment should take 30-45 minutes and is a required lesson.
Submit your assignments through Google classroom or send it to my email - lwilliams1@d56.org.
I will be available to answer questions via email from 7:15am to 2:45 pm.
7th grade social studies
Seventh grade social studies primarily focuses on the early days of the United States.
We will analyze primary and secondary sources throughout the year to determine what life was really like and how we are still impacted by the choices of the earliest citizens of the United States.
We should see some similarities and some differences from the earliest days of the United States to the present.
When appropriate we will also learn about current or timely events.
