Hi, my name is Mary Brooks. I love teaching at Spaulding School. This is my eighteenth year in the district. It is such a joy to be teaching wonderful second graders in District 56. Hopefully, our website will keep you posted on all the exciting things that we are up to in Brooksville.
Each day we are engaged in exciting activities that make learning fun! In my classroom we focus on the four C's: Critical thinking, Creative Problem Solving, Collaboration and Communication. DiOur district is also keenly aware of the need to meet the technological needs of our society today. I am honored to be an Apple Certified Teacher. This allows me to prepare students with content knowledge and relevant thinking skills. Students are taught to be problem solvers, decision makers and creative innovators through the engagement of technology. It is amazing to watch the students take ownership of their learning and show how they understand something, not just that they understand. Please follow along with what takes place in Brooksville.
