Hi!

After many years of teaching kindergarten at Spaulding, I am now teaching STEAM.  I enjoy working with all of the students at Spaulding.  STEAM is an integral part of preparing our students to be 21st century learners.  We learn coding, digital literacy, digital citizenship, and many other skills using the 1:1 iPads.  Additionally, we will explore various STEAM activities. Every day we also work on being our Viking B.E.S.T.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.  I have endorsements in Language Arts, Middle School Education, and English as a Second Language.  I earned my Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology Leadership from Concordia University Chicago. 

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband of 30+ years, Jim, and my two children.  My son, Payton, is a Business Intelligence Engineer. My daughter, Ashley, is a Speech-Language Pathologist.  We have two goldendoodles, Lola and Lily.  We love the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, Cubs, and Alabama football.
