Mrs. Kahn

A little about me...

I am currently in my 19th year in District 56 as a science teacher, 24th year of teaching overall. I teach both 7th and 8th grade science. My goal is to encourage all students to develop an appreciation of science in the two years that I have them in my class. My aim in my science classes is to expose the students to a variety of topics, with a focus on hands-on lab work as much as possible. I also implement many reading/writing strategies in my classroom, to keep aligned with the district reading goals.

I have been married for 17 years to my husband, Jeff, who is a territory manager for Cintas. We have one son, Lukas, who is currently in 8th grade at St. Patrick School in Wadsworth. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading books by authors such as Stephen King and Dean Koontz, catching up with series on Netflix, 5D diamond painting, Legos, and playing games on my iPad.

For all of my latest class assignments, please be sure to access Google Classroom, using your parent account info.  Unfortunately, if you have already created an account and a password, I am unable to reset your password for you if you have forgotten it....but please contact Google support and they can help you.
