Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome! My name is Mrs. Sue Bandman. I am one of the Special Education teachers at Prairie Trail School. Each day I work with students in 3rd - 5th grade, in small groups or individually, on their academic skills, as well as social and emotional needs. Helping students succeed and achieve in these areas is the joy of my career. My teaching career started at Woodland School many years ago, teaching 7th graders. I also taught 6th graders at Viking Middle School for 7 years. But I have found my greatest pleasure in teaching the students here at PT.
My personal passions are learning, reading, traveling, bike riding and the Cubs. I am married to Mr. Mike Bandman, a retired Band Director from D56. We go to Cubs games on many of our road trips and check out differenct baseball stadiums across the U.S. We were lucky enough to attend one of the World Series games at Wrigley Field! We feel lucky to spend time with two grown daughters who both live in the Chicagoland area.
I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with all my students and families. Please feel free to contact me at any time!
