Returning Students



    YOU MUST complete online registration for each child to confirm your student is returning to Gurnee School District 56 for the 2021-2022 school year. 

    To register your child online for the 2021-2022 school year log into your  Skyward Family Access. You can also log in on your child’s iPad with your parent login. There will be an app added to your child’s iPad called D56-Registration starting on April 5, 2021. Please see the picture of the app below.

    Not knowing what the future holds for large on-site registration due to Covid-19 and for the safety of our staff and families, we will be accepting PROOF OF RESIDENCY electronically for the school year 2021-2022.  You will be emailing PROOF OF RESIDENCY and (2) utility bills.

    More information will be sent to families on the process for submitting a PROOF OF RESIDENCY BY THE END OF MAY 2020. 


    Affidavits 2020-2021

    If you registering with an affidavit, the Affidavits for 2021-2022 will be available for download from the Gurnee School District 56 website on May 24, 2021. If you do not have access to a computer or printer, please contact Mrs. Orozco at 847-336-0800 for assistance.

    Registration staff will be reviewing all e-mailed proof of residency to ensure proof of residency documents are current and accurate. You will be notified if there is any problem with the proof of residency you have submitted.  

    Please complete online registration for each child by JUNE 8, 2021, even if you cannot pay your fees now. If students are registered by JUNE 8, 2021, you will receive a $20 discount on material fees for each student.
