All students who will be returning to Gurnee School District 56 for the 2022-2023 school year MUST complete the online registration process. We are happy to share with our D56 families that we are updating our district practice for the annual residency verification process for the 2022-2023 school year.
The District has acquired new software that will allow registration staff to conduct electronic residency verification for the district. The intent of the software is to:
1. Significantly reduce parent time needed to satisfy annual residency verification.
2. Significantly decrease staff time taken for the annual residency verification process.
3. Conduct residency verification in an efficient manner.
A letter will be sent via email towards the end of June to families whose residency we are unable to verify electronically. The letter will provide details on additional information you will need to provide by August 5, 2022, in order to register your child for the upcoming school year.
Registration staff will be reviewing all e-mailed proof of residency to ensure proof of residency documents are current and accurate. You will be notified if there is any problem with the proof of residency you have submitted.
Please complete online registration for each child by JUNE 3, 2022, even if you cannot pay your fees now. If students are registered by JUNE 3, 2022, you will receive a $20 discount on material fees for each student.
